Characterised by the European Union as a PGI (Protected Geographical indication) product, Lesvos Gold® is a monovarietal premium extra virgin olive oil deriving from "Kolovi" variety which exclusively grows on Lesvos island. It is the olive tree variety which gives this exceptional harmony of the astringent but also fruity flavor, the distinctive bitterness with notes of pepper of Lesvos Gold® premium extra virgin olive oil. In addition to the variety itself, several factors are combined in order to create “Kolovi” olive oil’s superb flavors and aromas; the soil, the specific climatic conditions defined by lack of rainfall and plenty of sunshine, and the altitudes at which “Kolovi” trees thrive. It is obvious, thus, how the quality of Lesvos Gold® premium extra virgin olive oil is linked to the region it is produced. Certified as a PGI product, its level of quality, its particular, original taste and aroma, and uniqueness are guaranteed. Our product cannot be replicated almost anywhere.

Handpicked at early harvest when the fruit on the olive tree begins to take its green colour and pressed, following cold extraction procedure, with utmost care, Lesvos Gold® is a Premium Quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil which comes in limited quantity in numbered bottles.
Although the production is lower during the early harvest, the olives impart a more fruity and pungent note to the olive juice while, at the same time, contributing to our health by containing a higher percentage of polyphenols and antioxidants than other extra virgin olive oils.
After harvest, olives are stored in crates under constantly controlled hygienic conditions. Within 5 hours, they are cold-pressed always ensuring that the temperature of 27°C is never exceeded, using a centrifugal process, in order to maintain all their beneficial substances intact. This way, an olive juice, with unique aromas and taste is being produced.
In the meantime, the exceptional organoleptic and chemical properties of Lesvos Gold® are guaranteed by the numerous quality tests performed.
Before being bottled, Lesvos Gold® premium extra virgin olive oil is stored in stainless steel tanks, for a short period of time, which allows for a natural sedimentation under ideal conditions - no air exposure, 10-15°C temperature-.
During bottling procedure, all packaging is chosen in order to protect the olive oil from UV rays, sustaining this way its optimal characteristics.

With zero animal fats and chemical additives, Lesvos Gold® olive oil soap is a pure product containing all the pharmaceutical properties of the olive. Compared to synthetic soaps, it helps more in maintaining the natural moisture, thus, preventing desiccation of both body and hands.
